No SmackDown Women’s Title Match for Night of Champions

From: PWInsider

Here’s an update on the decision to pull the Smackdown Women’s Title match from the Night of Champions PPV. A reader has sent me footage from the show’s live or international feed (he hasn’t said which it was yet) where Mick Foley clearly said that the title would be decided at the PPV. By the time they show aired in the US, the words were deleted from the soundtrack. That means one of two things. Either Foley incorrectly said the match would happen at the PPV (which tend I doubt) or the decision was made after Tuesday to pull the bout or no one told Foley before the taping that the match was off and he tried to sell what he thought was the program (which makes the most sense to me). Whatever the case, they had to fix it in post-production.
