Growing up, I was able to see Jazz and Jacqueline, women that look like me. It made me excited because I’m like ‘Wow, they’re cool. they’re badass.’ They were beating up the guys and stuff. So I was like I want to do that too. I got a big brother and I grew up with a lot of boy cousins, so that’s what I was doing. Was just like, ‘Oh, they’re doing that. I want to do that too.’
“Even when I got away from it a little bit, it wound up pulling [me back],” she continued. “It was Naomi that pulled me back in to wrestling. When I seen her, I was like, “F*ck it. I gotta try it.” But yeah, I always wanted to be a wrestler.”
