Amarillo has a long history of professional wrestling, dating back to the 1920s. The city has been home to numerous wrestling promotions, including the Amarillo Wrestling Association, the Amarillo Wrestling Federation, and the Amarillo Wrestling Alliance.

The Birth of Wrestleplex

Wrestleplex, the venue where the Hamlet Shopping Center hosts its wrestling events, has a rich history of its own. The building was originally constructed in the 1970s as a shopping mall, but it was later converted into a wrestling arena in the 1990s. The arena has since become a staple of the Amarillo wrestling scene, hosting numerous high-profile matches and events.

The Wrestling Promotions

Amarillo has been home to a variety of wrestling promotions over the years. Some of the most notable include:

  • The Amarillo Wrestling Association (AWA)
  • The Amarillo Wrestling Federation (AWF)
  • The Amarillo Wrestling Alliance (AWA)
  • The Texas Wrestling Alliance (TWA)
  • The Amarillo Wrestling League (AWL)
  • These promotions have played a significant role in shaping the city’s wrestling history and culture.

    The Hamlet Shopping Center Events

The Hamlet Shopping Center at Wrestleplex hosts professional wrestling matches every Saturday. The events feature a range of wrestlers, from local up-and-comers to established stars from around the country.

The best part about this? It’s extremely cheap, and something that the entire family is going to enjoy. It’s not just one wrestling match, and there’s more to do than just watch the wrestling matches. They have different vendors that setup at the event, so it’s not JUST wrestling, but hey, it’s the entertainment you go for right? So the question now remains, is it WWE style wrestling or is it more of the traditional Olympic style wrestling? I haven’t been so I can’t say, but my money is on it’s a mixture of both. Nothing against Olympic wrestling, but hey, it can get boring.

The Affordable Luxury of the Event

The event in question is a unique and exciting experience that offers something for everyone. With its affordable entry fees, it’s an ideal destination for families, groups of friends, and individuals looking to indulge in a little luxury.

What Makes This Event So Special? A wide range of activities and attractions

  • A unique and immersive experience
  • A chance to create lifelong memories
  • A great value for the price
  • The event features a diverse array of activities and attractions that cater to different interests and age groups. From thrilling rides and games to interactive exhibits and live performances, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
