News on Changes to WWE’s TV Tapings

Source: Wrestling Observer

The changes to WWE’s TV tapings with double SmackDown tapings and ECW and RAW on the same night could run through WrestleMania and then be re-evaluated to see if the changes will stick.

Because of these changes in the schedules, some of the WWE Superstars will be losing money. The midcard guys could lose up to $1,000 a month and for some of the top guys, several thousand dollars a month. However, it also eases up the road schedule by two more days a month.

Each taping canceled saves WWE about $696,000 in production expenses and that doesn’t include talent costs.
